Supporting UCalgary Law students in their legal education
The Alberta Expropriation Association is raising funds to create an endowment at the University of Calgary in remembrance of The Honourable Jim Prentice, QC. Jim Prentice was a founding member of the AEA and was actively involved in expropriation law over his distinguished career. Jim served the public both as an MP, an MLA and as our Premier. In his federal career Jim served as the Minister of Indian and Northern Development, Minister of the Environment, and Minister of Industry. Prior to his political career, Jim also served the public through his role as a commissioner of the Indian Claims Commission of Canada. The AEA is grateful for the contributions of Jim Prentice to this organization, to our province and to our country. Many members of the AEA had the opportunity to work with Jim and to benefit from his experience, knowledge and integrity. The intention of the endowment is for the AEA to create a lasting memorial legacy to honour Jim’s contributions. Please consider contributing to this endowment fund for a scholarship to be awarded annually to a law student at the University of Calgary. | For more information please contact: Photo credit: By Manning Centre c/o: Jake Wright - Flickr, CC BY 2.0, https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?curid=32870985 |
